Crossroads Ministries is dedicated to two things:

First -- Recognizing the needs of incarcerated teens and adults. Second -- Seeing that those needs are met through Jesus Christ. What gives us our passion to work in this ministry and truly with any outreach ministry is fully understanding how God sees the population to which we are ministering. He gives us a glimpse of this when he tells us

“I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for peace and not disaster,

plans to give you a future filled with hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

How YOU can help

We welcome and need

God-called individuals to:

conduct Bible studies,

lead recovery meetings,

teach life skills curriculum for

the summer program,

offer Godly council, and

provide administrative assistance.

Crossroads Ministry Programs:

NRV Juvenile Detention Center

Incarcerated young people are among the most misunderstood segments of our population. As a result they are often left unattended in terms of ministry or counseling. Many are left to flounder in a juvenile justice system that cares little if anything about them. With that in mind, Crossroads presents these young people with practical ways to apply scripture to their lives to help them begin to make better choices and decisions. We covet your prayers as we minister with these precious young people.

First Sunday of month 8:30 AM; Voluntary Bible study Sunday 7 pm, Monday Life Skills Class 9 AM; Third Saturday 7 PM

Summer program begins in June and runs through August

Montgomery County Jail

Montomery County Jail

Another often misunderstood and therefore spiritually unattended slice of society is the incarcerated adult population. Despite the bad choices that have institutionalized them they too are in need of spiritual guidance so they can also come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We also desire your prayers for this vital ministry.

Wednesdays 6:30 PM; Sundays 1 PM

Western Montgomery Regional Jail

The most recent ministry inroads into the correctional system has come with the Western Montgomery Regional Jail. After much prayer, the Lord has opened a door for Crossroads to begin ministering to those incarcerated in this facility. We ask for your continued support and prayer that the Holy Spirit would begin to prepare hearts to receive God's word.

Meets Thursday evenings; weekly services tba

Crossroads has an open door at the new Western Virginia Regional Jail to put paperback Christian books in the library for inmates. If you would like to donate some paperback books, please leave them at the church office. The ladies love many of the popular speakers today. So please help Pastor Ted get good Christian books into this jail while the door is open.

Our Mission To see Jesus Christ transform the lives of incarcerated individuals and their families

Our Goals To have a presence within every correctional facility in southwest Virginia. To train every individual called to minister to this important, valuable and often-neglected population segment. To provide Christ-centered support for every person we minister to upon their release.
