“It’s a dangerous business… going out your front door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t
keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.” – J.R.R. Tolkien

Next Steps

Follow, Connect, Discover, Serve

The Christian Journey is more than just coming to church, it is becoming a follower of Christ. Here at the Radford Worship Center, it is our desire to help you take your next steps in that journey.

Our growth track comes from Ephesians 1: 17-18 (Msg.)
“I ask–the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory–to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him–endless energy, boundless strength!”

Follow:
In order to follow Jesus, you must first know him as your Savior. That is where the journey begins. What do you do?
1. Realize that there is a gulf between man and a Holy God… sin is that gulf… you need to realize that you need forgiveness… you need to confess your sin (1 John 1:9)
2. Believe that Jesus died for your signs and that he rose from the dead and is alive today.  (Romans 10:9-10)
3. Accept God’s free gift of salvation. Don’t try to earn it (Ephesians 2:8)
4. Invite Jesus to come into your life and be Lord of your life (John 1: 12-13)

Connect:
In order to grow, connection is important. There are four ways that you can find connection at RWC.
1. Our Sunday morning worship experience focuses on four values: Celebration (Psalms 122:1), Inspiration (1 Corinthians 24:25), Preparation (Ephesians 4: 11-12), and Salvation (Romans 10:13-14)
2. Small Groups (cGroups). This is where we find freedom. They are a place to connect with others, a place to protect each other, they are a place to grow with each other (Acts. 20;20)
3. Discovering your purpose. This begins with the growth track.
4. Become a part of the Dream Team. This is where you can make a difference.

Discover:
It is important for every believer to understand and know that God has given them spiritual gifts. In order for you to fulfill your purpose, its important to know your gift (Ephesians 4: 7) It’s our desire to help you discover your distinct gifts by taking a spiritual gifts profile.

Serve:
Each gift is necessary for the body to function. Together we can product more fruit (John 15:8) We have 6 that function at RWC. These teams are:
The Evangelism (Event planning, marketing, food ministry)
First impressions (front door, parking lot, safety)
Worship & Tech arts (praise band, praise team, Sound, lights, streaming, & execution of worship experience)
Bridge team (coffee grounds, worship experience hosts, altar team, Follow-up)
Youth & Children’s Ministry (nursery, toddlers, Children’s church, Lifechange JV, Lifechange)
cGroups (Facilitators, hosts)
